A Message from our President…
Welcome to our September newsletter. Hope everyone has had a chance to get out on the water or better yet, in the water this time of year! It sure has been hot, but lucky for us the fish still need to eat! You will still have your best luck early in the morning or in the evening when things start to cool down a little. Try to avoid the heat of the day.
This month’s Tournament is for Redfish. They have been biting real good so be sure to see Capt. Tom at the meeting for all the details and to get signed up.
I would like to thank Capt. “Little Jim” Fesperman for doing a great seminar for us last month. Capt. Jim can be reached at 727-515-3689 or at www.hooksettingcharters.com should you want to contact him and maybe book a charter.
This month’s guest speaker will be Mark Nichols. Mark is the owner of DOA Lures and is a very entertaining speaker. He will have plenty of tips for us on how to use his various array of lures. You won’t want to miss this one!
This month’s club dinner out will be held at Sonny’s Barbecue located on the north East Corner of Curlew and Rt. 19 North. It will be held on Tuesday September the 21st. We will begin as usual around 6:30pm. Guests are always welcome. Please RSVP to me if you plan to attend. See You There! We had quite a turnout at last month’s dinner at Fratelli’s Italian Restaurant. We had 36 people in attendance.
This is the month that we are hosting our 14th annual Dave Sellers UPARC Saturday. It will be held on September the 25th. This is a great event and good time to help out those less fortunate. Please see Dave Sellers or Randy Poppert at the meeting to volunteer. There will be food provided by the Kiwanis Club.
Don’t forget to get your raffle tickets for our big drawing for a weekend at The Treasure Bay Hotel and Marina Resort in Treasure Island. The drawing will be held at this months meeting and the prize is to be awarded in October. Purchase 6 tickets for $5.00 for a chance at a $300.00 weekend sounds pretty good to me!
